From the moment I had my orientation and started my Chinese course with VLLC I knew I had made the right decision. From the first session to my final assessment, the individual program and tutorials kept my motivation high! I work in the hospitality industry in a casino as a croupier and come across a high number of Chinese tourists. Learning Chinese allowed me to interact with the Chinese patrons and fulfil a need within my industry. Being able to learn "casino vocabulary" to use in my interactions was just the icing on the cake.
I decided that by understanding Chinese, I had a distinct advantage within the casino industry due to the significant number of Chinese tourists and high-rollers who frequented no only where I worked but other casinos in Australia. Being able to communicate in Chinese helped me provide better customer service, facilitating interactions with Chinese-speaking guests, and potentially increased employment opportunities. It also was useful in understanding cultural nuances and customs that could enhance the overall experience for Chinese visitors.
Overall, it was the best decision I ever made and one I will never regret! Thanks VLLC
