Esther Gavino, German Student

I am studying German for recreation and am now enrolled in Certificate III. I will be finishing my degree on exchange in the U.S.A. I hope to do some travelling after the semester finishes.
I originally started learning German after seeing an German film on SBS. A character in the film yelled "jetzt" during an intense scene and that's when I realised I needed to study this language.
I would very much like to travel to Germany again and not use English. When I was there previously I found myself reverting to English quite frequently because I simply couldn't understand when people spoke, and I also didn't anticipate how many people actually knew English. This was out of comfort more that anything which I will regret.

My name is Kyla and I have recently started learning German at VLLC with Iris and Mila as I have a passion for travel, culture and languages and would love to start organising and leading special interest tours to Germany and throughout Europe.

I work with Kaleidoscopic Travel as a Mobile Travel Consultant as well as learning a language. I also look forward to working with VLLC in helping their Tutors and students organise their own holiday adventure so that they can visit the countries of their chosen language and immerse themselves in their culture. You can learn more about what I do at the following website: www.kaleidoscopictravel.com.au or at facebook.com/kaleidoscopictravel.kylaward
