My name is Mary and I am a graduate of occupational therapy and an Arabic language tutor at VLLC. I am originally from Egypt and I grew up in a family that spoke 3 languages on a daily basis. My passion for languages grew and I obtained level one Arabic interpreting certification through NAATI.
As I roamed many countries within the Middle East with my family I began to adapt and detect the dialect patterns and subtle differences in spoken Arabic. Teaching Arabic is an honour and a pleasure, it allows me to appreciate the power and history of languages and how they reflect social and cultural contexts.

Buongiorno! I am Daniel, your new favourite Italian tutor! I am a linguistics undergraduate from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and a current Master of Teaching student at Monash University in Naarm, also known as Melbourne, specialising in teaching languages other than English (LOTE, Italian) and English as Additional Language (EAL). I’m from the bellissima Puglia; more precisely, I was born in the CBD of Foggia, the second biggest province in Italy! However, having lived more than three years in Venice, I experienced first-hand the north-south dichotomy reigning in Italy, which allows me to help bridging potential cultural misunderstandings. Finally, my background in linguistics comes handy every time something is not clicking, as we can dissemble together the mechanisms operating at the very heart of language! But careful… I am noisy, like a real Italiano del sud!! E tu? What brings you here? I can’t wait to hear, dai, hop on. Ci vediamo, ciao!

Annyeonghaseyo! 안녕하세요! Interested in studying Korean? I am a Korean tutor, Catherine. I have many years of experience as a teacher. Korea is a rising star in popular music, television and film, and a global leader in technology.
The Korean alphabet, Hangul, is praised by many linguists for its design. Hangul shows you how to pronounce a word clearly. For instance, the basic consonant letters show the positions of the mouth, teeth and tongue when pronouncing the sounds. There is even a public holiday in Korea called Hangul Day.  Give learning Korean a go! 화이팅!

Arabic Tutor Melbourne
Hola, cómo estás? I am Dayanne, a Spanish tutor at VLLC, one of the most spoken languages in the world. I’m proudly Colombian! Why? Because Colombia is a country that will allow you to discover and live unforgettable experiences, also the country of beautiful emeralds, delicious coffee and warm people.  I have been living in Melbourne-Australia since 2019, the main reason to move here was to speak better English and to learn from different cultures. Now, my goal is also to share the beauty of the Spanish language and the culture of Latin America.  I invite you to take that step, to learn and explore the language, and most important: to feel confident speaking the language!!!
Believe you can, and you are halfway there.” Theodore Roosevelt.
