Also I studied and English course at CELTA in Melbourne and A course named Professional and Continuing Education at Monash University, Teaching Spanish in an English speaking country has made me rethink all different ways to teach my native language and make others love Spanish as I do. Everyday I'm teaching in each tutory but also I'm learning from them how to become a better tutor and a better human being.

Guten Tag! I am Liz, I was born and raised in Bavaria, Germany, but have found my home in Melbourne in 2008.  Language means freedom, expression, independence, conversation, self-reliance and connection for me.
Language shapes how we perceive the world and how we think and act in it.  I was always fascinated by these complex structures of living languages.
Therefore I love helping students expand and refine their language knowledge here at VLLC in both English and the German language.

My name is Mary and I am a graduate of occupational therapy and an Arabic language tutor at VLLC. I am originally from Egypt and I grew up in a family that spoke 3 languages on a daily basis. My passion for languages grew and I obtained level one Arabic interpreting certification through NAATI.
As I roamed many countries within the Middle East with my family I began to adapt and detect the dialect patterns and subtle differences in spoken Arabic. Teaching Arabic is an honour and a pleasure, it allows me to appreciate the power and history of languages and how they reflect social and cultural contexts.

French Tutor Melbourne
Bonjour! My name is Emilie, and I come from Lyon in France. Though France and Australia are western countries, they still hold differences in their cultures, but they do share a multiculturalism, which I’m particularly fond of. I have been tutoring French at VLLC for 5 years, during which time I have met many people, students as well as staff members, sharing these same passions that are a love for languages and cultures.

Hallo, my name is Tina, I come from North Germany and I tutor in German at VLLC. I am as we say a 'Hamburger Deern'. When I relocated with my Australian husband and two children to Australia our intention was to stay 2 years and then return to Germany. This is our 7th year and we haven't looked back. Once we settled in and discovered the amazing lifestyle, the friendly people and new opportunities that we never could have in Germany we decided to stay. My children are bilingual so I have plenty of practice explaining how the languages complement and sometimes contradict each other. I really enjoy talking about German culture, traditions and other aspects of my country to my students and explaining the differences between them.

It comes with the desire to build an honest relationship and the determination to make our lessons relevant and fun. Double hatted, I am also in charge of Business Development. Having a Digital Marketing background, I'm now combining Marketing and Sales skills. I'm also always looking for different ways to enhance your language learning. Nǐ hǎo! I'm Ya, a Mandarin tutor at VLLC. I came to Australia 4 years ago as a backpacker. After I finished traveling around Australia, I decided to study and pursue my dream career in Melbourne. Since then, I started teaching Mandarin. I have been teaching children for more than 2 years at a Chinese language school. Luckily, I started teaching adults a couple of months ago at VLLC where I find the best learning environment! I really enjoy teaching adults and always get inspiration from my students. My teaching philosophy is understanding my students' needs, which always helps me teach them with effective strategies to help them enjoy the journey of learning Mandarin. The key to learning a new language is to overcome the fear of making mistakes, so I try to create more interesting elements in my tutorial and encourage students to talk freely. You are welcome to join us for a learning adventure!
