Learning Chinese was my best decision.

Enrolling with VLLC in a Chinese language course was a pivotal decision for my career, opening doors to new opportunities and professional growth. Initially, I enrolled in the course to enhance my resume, but its impact went far beyond my expectations.
My newfound fluency in Mandarin allowed me to engage directly with Chinese clients and partners, fostering stronger relationships and improving communication. In meetings and negotiations, I could convey ideas more effectively and understand nuances that would have otherwise been lost in translation. This skill proved invaluable in securing contracts and expanding my company's market reach in China.
Moreover, the course provided me with insights into Chinese business etiquette and cultural practices, which helped me navigate cross-cultural interactions with confidence. I was able to participate in local events and understand the subtleties of Chinese business practices, positioning myself as a valuable asset in my field.

The ability to converse in Mandarin also opened up opportunities for collaboration on international projects and promoted my career advancement. My language skills became a key differentiator, leading to increased responsibilities and career progression.
Overall, the Chinese language course with VLLC not only enriched my professional capabilities but also expanded my career horizons, demonstrating the profound impact that language skills can have on career development.
Thanks VLLC, Sebastien

I learnt Japanese to improve my career

Over the past 12 months I have been studying Japanese online with VLLC. I live in Sydney and I am learning Japanese to further my career in Hotel Management with the hope of using Japanese in the hospitality industry. Whilst studying with VLLC I was able to tailor my tutorials to include vocabulary specific to the hotel industry such as role plays as a concierge, or complaints management. I loved how easy it was to do online, no travelling to classes which saved me buckets of time!

As part of my Hotel management degree I have to go to various hotel chains for what is called a "stage" which is a bit like work experience. Hotel chains are impressed by my willingness to learn a new language and navigate unfamiliar situations even if I am not yet fluent. When I have been applying for future positions that require interaction with international clients, the fact that I am able to communicate in another language is giving me a real advantage. I am now well on my way to the completion of both my Hotel Management and Japanese qualification. Thanks VLLC, Chloe
