At VLLC we find that students learn languages for many reasons, the main being:
- Professional development: foreign languages give individuals a competitive advantage in today's global environment;
- Employability: The individual becomes more employable if in possession of a foreign language and enables you to work elsewhere in the world, as well as work in international companies in this country which have a global presence.
- Bridging cultures: The addition a foreign language in your repertoire opens the culture of the target country. The process becomes a tool to bridge gaps between cultures as well as of use in travel, negotiating trade deals etc.
