There is something undeniably beautiful in the way Germany's scenery unfolds.  From sea scaped coasts of the north, the romantic forests and rivers and vineyards of the centre, and the amazing Alps. All of these spaces create wonderful possibilities for travel experiences. Here are our top 5 travel destinations and attractions in Germany:

Neuschwanstein is the ultimate fairy-tale castle which is situated on a rugged hill near Füssen in southwest Bavaria. The castle was commissioned by King Ludwig II of Bavaria and was the inspiration for the Sleeping Beauty Castles in the Disneyland Parks. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Germany.  Don't miss it!

The Brandeburg Gate is the only surviving city gate of Berlin and symbolises the reunification of East and West Berlin. Built in the 18th century, the Brandenburg gate is the entry to "Unter den Linden", the prominent boulevard of linden trees which one led directly to the palace of the Prussian Monarchs. It is regarded as one of the most famous landmarks in Europe.

Heidelberg Old City is situated in the Neckar river valley and is another one of Germany's popular tourist destinations. During World War II, the city was almost completely spared by allied bombings which had destroyed most of Germany's larger inner cities. Because of this, Heidelberg has kept its old world charm of narrow streets, beautiful houses and the famous Heidelberg castle.

The Holstentor is one of the two remaining city gates of the city of Lubeck. It was built in 1464 and the gate now serves as a museum. Together with the old city centre, Alstadt, it is another one of the top tourist attractions in Germany.
