Certificate III in Foreign Language Studies
After completing Certificate III at VLLC you will be able to:

- Give advice and suggestions; orders and requests
- Go to the dentist, chemist and doctor
- Express probabilities and possibilities

- Use intermediate reading and writing in all business forms
- Understand radio and TV news stories
Overview:
This course covers a large range of topics and achieves a basic vocational proficiency in reading, writing, speaking and listening and includes a strong cultural component. It gives students a sound knowledge of intermediate structures and is available for students who wish to expand their fluency to a more advanced level.
Course Details:
Recommended course time is a further 75 - 100 hours after completion of a Certificate II depending on individual progress. This course achieves a basic vocational proficiency in reading, writing, speaking and listening and achieves an ISLPR 2/3 in these four skill areas. Certificate III can have a credit value of up to 8 additional credits (Certificate II has up to 20 credits) towards Year 12 High School Certificate in most states (this varies between states).

The Certificate in Language Studies at the Vocational Language Learning Centres® are eligible for YOUTH ALLOWANCE/AUSTUDY /ABSTUDY.
Prerequisites:
Successful completion of
Certificate II in Foreign Language Studies or prior learning equivalent to ISLPR level 2 in reading, writing, speaking and listening. Commitment, enthusiasm and the ability to follow the course procedures will ensure an outstanding result.
